Vacation:
Full time employees are provided vacation time after 1 FULL YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT. Vacation time must
be scheduled through the Department Manager. The hospital reserves the right to schedule vacations in
such a way that proper and adequate patient care is assured.    
     
Vacation time is accrued as follows:
     
0 through 5 years of service

5 years+

15 days
*One day is an eight hour work day
Vacation time is paid at the base rate without differentiation.
Accrued vacation time will be paid at the time of termination UNLESS the employee does not give
appropriate notice of their intention to terminate.
     
Sick Time:
   
Sick time is awarded based on time worked and is figured at the rate of one day per month
(12 days per year)
Accrual begins on the first day of employment and the employee is eligible to take sick leave at the
completion of their probationary period. Sick pay is calculated on the base pay.
Sick leave is awarded for the employee illness ONLY.
Sick leave is not granted AFTER the hospital is notified of the intent to terminate.
 
Holiday Pay:
   
Regular, full time employees will be given paid holidays of eight hours each, paid at their base rate, for the
following holidays:
New Year's Day
  Christmas Day  
Labor Day
  Memorial Day
Thanksgiving Day
  Independence Day
Employees scheduled to work on the actual holiday will be given an alternate day off with 8 hours of pay
within 45 days prior to or after the official holiday.
