WGH Foundation Art of Caring Gala A Success

Over 100 guests enjoyed dinner and dancing at the first ever “Art of Caring Gala” a fundraising event held by the Wilbarger General Hospital Foundation that brought in over $20,000 for the foundation. The gala was held Saturday, Feb. 10, in the Empire Room of the Wilbarger Auditorium.
“We would like to thank everyone for coming tonight and supporting our hospital foundation,” Terry Spears, WGH Foundation chairman, said as he welcomed guests to the event. “I think we’re in for a fun night.”
WGH Chief Executive Officer, Claudia Eisenmann, followed by introducing a video highlighting Wilbarger General Hospital’s accomplishments in 2017 and goals for 2018.
“2017 was a great year for us at Wilbarger General,” Eisenmann said. “We were able to do some great things, but we’re focused on the future the great things we have in front of us.
“I would like to echo Terry’s comments and thank each of you for coming tonight and I hope you have a great time,” she concluded.
After the meal, the guests enjoyed listening and dancing to the music of The Texas Gypsies, a band based in Dallas/Fort Worth.
Later in the evening a live auction and a silent auction were held. Auction items ranged from a guitar autographed by the country music duo Walker McGuire, to Texas Tech football tickets, to three nights at the Blanco River Retreat, to a beautiful Australian South Seas Pearl Necklace.
A total of $17,150 was raised from the auction items.
Funds raised by the WGH Foundation will be used to help the hospital purchase equipment, start new health care programs or help in other areas to ensure Wilbarger General is able to provide the most up-to-date health care services to residents of Wilbarger County and the surrounding area.
